Strengthening the partnership between Brava City Council and the Catholic Church
Cidade de Nova Sintra, January 29, 2025 (Bravanews) - As part of a relationship of excellence with institutions on the island, the Mayor of Brava recently received the parish priest of the Catholic Church, Friar José, in a visit that marked a moment of closer ties between the two entities. During the meeting, the existing partnership was reinforced, with both parties aware of the importance of working together to promote the well-being of the population and the sustainable development of the island.
The Mayor expressed his gratitude for the Church's continued collaboration, recognizing the fundamental role the institution plays in the community. "We believe that only by joining forces between the various local institutions can we achieve our goals of making Brava an increasingly better, more supportive and prosperous island," he said.
Frei José, for his part, reaffirmed the Catholic Church's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at the development of the island and the well-being of all Bravosans. The visit also aimed to discuss new forms of collaboration, with a view to working together to directly benefit the population, especially in the areas of social support and education.
